Have you seen the latest UK weather forecast?
Temperatures are set to drop, and snow ploughs are due to crowd our roads this winter, are you prepared...?
With extreme weather conditions on the way, we always prepare and stock both a snow castor and snow wheel designed to offer snow ploughs enhanced maneuverability, particularly useful on uneven surfaces. They simply fit onto the back of the snow plough attachment, directing the snow plough forward.
Snow ploughs run on large pneumatic castors, crushing the snow as they drive through. Our 200mm swivel snow castor, consists of a high quality rubber tyre on a cast iron centre. The heavy duty castor has a ball bearing fitted into a standard fabricated steel castor housing. Our 200mm snow wheel can also withstand a large weight capacity, manufactured from synthetic rubber on a cast iron centre wheel, fitted with suitable ball bearings.
A shivering -12 ° C is expected, to rival the arctic blast of 1963!

UK plunges to -8C tomorrow in the coldest day of the year so far
Britain woke up to the biggest freeze of the winter yesterday with temperatures tumbling to almost -8C in parts of Scotland, as forecasters warn temperatures could reach -12 by Christmas.
With snow ploughs scooping snow off the ground or leveling snow this winter, you'll feel the Christmas spirit rising throughout the UK.
Looks as though more strength than a hand held snow shovel will be required this year!
Snow plough vehicles range from 6 - 9 foot wide, each designed to push large amounts of snow.
We have supplied snow castors and wheels for many years to different councils and fabricators, to fit behind their snow plough main blades, guiding snow safely along the road surface at an appropriate height.
So wrap up yourselves and your presents this Christmas...and contact us for more further product specifications or our advice on what makes the best snow castor or snow wheel.
Merry Christmas everyone from Atlas Handling UK!!!
