Atlas Handling (UK) Polyurethane Tyres
Here at Atlas Handling we supply two categories of polyurethane tyres, both on a nylon centre and a cast iron centre. Each category displays the different series we have available, with the majority being heavy duty due to polyurethane having a strong material quality, being able to withstand a frequent large loading capacity. Polyurethane tyred castors generally have easy handling, and a longer product life in comparison to other materials.
|Polyurethane Castor Range|
Polyurethane tyres on a nylon centre have every choice imaginable, with different wheel sizes and castor housing available. Brakes and a choice of a top fitting plate or bolt hole fitting are available, fixed or swivel style, generally into pressed steel, with even a twin polyurethane wheel for extra stability if necessary. They will protect your flooring and have a low rolling resistance, minimising energy waste. Polyurethane tyres on a cast iron centre offer the same variety of choice, however do not have a twin wheel option and are heavier in weight. Although the majority offer a slightly higher loading capacity due to the strength of their additional cast iron castor housing.
Polyurethane is a great material choice for a combination of qualities, which is why so many of the industries we supply to use it. Unlike rubber, it will never develop a flat tyre, and can manually handle better when compared.
